The PoisonControlCenter has recently seen an increase in cases of a new poisonous substance called “Spice”, “Golden Spice”, “K2” or “JWH-018.” It is sold over the Internet and locally in “head shops” or similar stores. In some cases it is referred to as “synthetic marijuana” or “synthetic THC”. K2 can be sprayed on products and smoked to produce a high. Unfortunately, too many people end up in the hospital with rapid heart rates, shortness of breath, agitation, seizures, Syncope (loss of conciousness), headaches, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.
